Canon HV40 details

The Canon HV40 allows you to have creative control over the movies you make, including a customisable control panel, for professional quality finish, inheriting all the benefits of the Canon HV40’s predecessor; the Canon HV30.

The Canon HV40 has an optional long life battery allowing you more freedom and you don’t have to carry as many spares. The Canon HV40 has many attributes that help you to create quality HD video for example Instant AF to achieve sharp focus even at speed. To combat knocks and bumps when filming the Super Range Optical Image Stabilizer compensates to achieve steady focus, which is further aided by the 10x optical zoom on the Canon HV40.

Manual and automated functions enable you to adjust the video light and audio as you need. The special Cine mode allows you to create footage that has an authentic Hollywood look. The true 25p (progressive) shooting also provides excellent low light filming. You can use the Multi-angle vivid LCD screen to monitor your movie’s progress and share with friends easily. A Full HD CMOS sensor and the DIGIC DV II processor delivers superb HDV1080i (High Definition Video), recorded to tape. Via an AV output you can easily store your footage onto digital tape.

The Canon HV40 not only has excellent movie making abilities, but also simultaneously stores photos to its MiniSD card, making the Canon HV40 a perfectly flexible camcorder. There are a variety of features to enhance your photos, including one-push histogram for monitoring brightness levels.
