The Canon HF S200 offers high definition video recording directly to cheap and affordable SDHC memory card media. The S200 has two separate SDHC card slots allowing you to record to either and transfer footage from one to the other.
The Canon HFS200 uses Canon’s 8MP HD Camera System which combines a HD specific lens, 8.0MP full HD CMOS sensor and the powerful DIGIC DV III processor. This combination achieves a high quality of image capture with bright vibrant colours and low noise and distortion levels.
Like Canon’s other camcorder in this range the HF S200 features the large 8.8cm (3.5”) touch-screen LCD display which is one of the largest camcorder screens on the market. The touch-screen interface uses a unique gesture based system giving you instant access to the most common functions including Touch Tracking, Touch Focus and Touch Exposure modes.
The Canon HFS200 has a custom control dial which can be assigned one of many manual functions giving you complete control over your filming. This allows the more creative to stay in control of focus or exposure settings as you film.
Camera shake is taken care of with Canons O.I.S (optical image stabilisation) which can eliminate most forms of camcorder shake. For filming at higher zoom levels the is a Powered IS mode which helps to keep for footage shake free.
The Canon S200 HD camcorder supports x.v.Color allowing compatible televisions to playback footage with deeper and richer colours in glorious 1920×1080 high definition. There are a range of connection options for playback including HDMI which will offer the best video with no loss of quality.
