The HMX-H104 from Samsung is part of their HMC-H100 series of SSD based HD camcorders. The H104 has the smallest capacity of the 3 with 16GB of storage provided in the form of a internal SSD (solid state drive).
The HMXH104 has a wide 37mm video lens allowing you to capture a wider picture than some other camcorders. This will allow you to fit in more scenery, more people and more details when you film. The H104 features optical image stabilisation (O.I.S) which helps maintain a clear, shake free picture. O.I.S works by apply tiny shifts in the lens to counteract motion and any instability giving clear, clean images at all times.
Like most other camcorders the HMX-H104 can capture still photos as well as video footage. The still photos are limited to 4.7MP but this is a hnady feature to so you never need miss one of those spontaneous photogenic moments while you are filming again.
The screen on the H104 is a LCD touch screen measuring 2.7” and has a special anti-reflective coating so it remains usable even in bright settings. The touch screen allows quick and easy access to the most common functions without having to search for the correct button.
One of the most unique features the HMX-H100 range of camcorders offers is the full angle hand grip. This allows you to adjust the angle between the camcorder and hand grip allowing you to change recording positions while maintaining the same secure hand grip.
Since the SSD in the H104 is a solid state device the HMXH104 is extremely resilient to the odd bump or knock, making it an ideal camcorder for more active pursuits.
